What this site records about a visit, and what it does with it.
- Analytics
Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views for everyone. It sets no cookies and keeps nothing in your browser.
Google Analytics measures visits. PostHog adds interaction tracking, heatmaps, session replays and technical logs so we can improve the site. Form inputs and signup email addresses are masked or excluded from replays. These tools use cookies and browser storage. In the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland, they stay off until you accept. Elsewhere they run unless you turn them off.
- In your browser
- Your light or dark theme and your cookie choice, in local storage, not in cookies.
- If you give us your email address to hear news, it goes into our own email list with where you gave it. Every email we send has a link to unsubscribe.
- Buying
- Checkout is hosted by Shopify, under its own privacy policy. Shopify takes the payment; we never see your card.
- Sharing
- We use service providers to run the business. Shopify also uses customer information for its enhanced services, including personalisation and advertising. Its privacy portal lets you manage those choices.
- Your rights
- Email contact@basically.website to ask for access, correction or deletion of your information. Records needed for legal obligations may be retained.
